CGI is proud to announce the awarding of the Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee WI. CGI is working with CG Schmidt/Barton Malow JV (general contractors in joint venture) and HOK - Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum architects on a design assist basis.
The new $417 million Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee is the largest health care building project in Wisconsin and will be located on 20 acres overlooking Lake Michigan, on the corner of Lake Drive and North Avenue.
The hospital campus will include the core hospital of approximately 670,000 square feet, a new 25,000-square-foot Cancer Center, two medical office buildings totalling 215,000 square feet, and three new parking structures with 1,800 spaces. The project also includes expanding and renovating the central utilities plant, and renovating 190,000 square feet of the current Milwaukee Campus hospital (cloverleaf building) on the west side of Lake Drive. In addition, the historic 1909 East Facility on the northeast corner of North Avenue and Lake Drive will undergo renovation.
The new Lake Drive Hospital will have 513 inpatient beds, a 32 percent reduction in the number of combined beds at the existing Columbia and Milwaukee campuses.
The project consists of 100,000 square feet of Fulton Fulwall IV Unitized curtain wall system and 19,000 square feet of High Span Curtainwall.
