Building a better wall……

Recently, two representatives from CGI attended a seminar on Heat, Air and Moisture Modeling Tools.

These tools through computer programming, allow designers and consultants the opportunity to develop methods by which to construct whole building envelopes to attain maximum efficiency and long lasting sustainability along with considering occupant health and well being.

Programming which assists in the proper construction and performance of a wall system also benefits CGI as a provider of curtainwall in producing the best possible conditions when concerns of perimeter air seals, venting and insulating parameters, to name a few, have to be met.

At CGI, these conditions can be explored in the early stages of development to better prepare all parties and to justify what is required with respect to material and schedules, Specification requirements, fabrication and site installation and simplifying difficult detailing.

Knowing what parameters have to be met gives our design teams the knowledge and tools to build a better wall.
